07 Damon. Please Remit $50* - posted by Brad Jansen (team 10) - April 24
The Hoosier Daddies will win the 2007 USML Championship by holding the #1
position pillar to post. If that starting pitching stays healthy it will not
even be close. Meche for 7, Buehrle for 9, Sowers for 9, Washburn for
9...who are the roto geniuses that let Gammons get away with this? So, Andy,
I hope you have paid your $50 fee since there is absolutely no reason for
you or anyone else to revisit this site once you have finished this
sentence.

*LEAGUE POLL:* No League Poll. *PLAYER NEWS:* *Erik Bedard - BAL -
S* *October
5* Orioles VP of Baseball Operations Jim Duquette announced his resignation
Friday.
He'll attempt to acquire Victor Zambrano for another team next year. It's
unclear whether Duquette was forced out by new president Andy MacPhail. He
almost certainly had fewer responsibilities with MacPhail's addition. *Lew
Ford - MIN - OF* *October 5* Twins sent outfielder Lew Ford, outfielder Josh
Rabe and third baseman Tommy Watkins outright to Triple-A Rochester.
With Luis Rodriguez also gone, the Twins already seem to be getting a bit
more aggressive about getting guys off the 40-man roster that simply don't
need to be there. Ford, 31, has been a poor reserve for 2 1/2 years now, and
he was arbitration eligible again after making $985,000 last year. He's not
worthy of more than a minor league deal at this point. *Gary Sheffield - DET
- DH* *October 5* Doctors believe that it's only bone chips causing Gary
Sheffield's right shoulder pain.
That's be great news for Sheffield and the Tigers. "He's excited to know the
cause of the pain," said Sheffield's attorney, Rufus Williams. "He's excited
that it's not anything serious." If no further damage is found, Sheffield
should be 100 percent a month or two after undergoing surgery Monday.
*Chien-Ming
Wang - NYY - S* *October 5* Manager Joe Torre indicated that he might bring
Chien-Ming Wang back on short rest to start Game 4 of the ALDS, if
necessary.
"First off, let me tell you, I am not afraid of Wang pitching against
Cleveland again," Torre said. He didn't pitch his game tonight. You know,
you win 19 games in this league, you certainly earn it. I am certainly not
going to shy away from pitching him again." Mike Mussina is also an option
to start Game 4. *Garret Anderson - ANA - OF* *October 5* Garret Anderson,
whose right eye was nearly swollen shut Wednesday due to conjunctivitis, is
expected to start in left field Friday.
"I think it looks a lot worse than it is," manager Mike Scioscia said of
Anderson's eye. "Garret assures us his vision's there, he's seeing the ball,
and that's what's important. Unless his left eye looks as bad as his right
eye tomorrow, he's starting." Anderson started Game 1 of the NLDS and went
0-4. *Vladimir Guerrero - ANA - OF* *October 5* Vladimir Guerrero (tricep
tendinitis) worked out in right field during Thursday's day off and is
expected to start at the position on Friday.
"I feel really good," said Guerrero, who hasn't started in right since Sept.
4. "I've been throwing all these days, and possibly tomorrow [Friday] I
could be playing in the outfield." If Guerrero can be used in right, instead
of DH, the Angels will be able to use Juan Rivera or Kendry Morales as the
DH adding more power to the lineup. *Kevin Youkilis - BOS - 1B*
*October 5* Kevin
Youkilis, who was limited by a sore wrist the final two weeks of the regular
season, says it is improving every day.
"Every day that goes by, I feel better," said Youkilis, who added that he's
dealing more with pain transfer to his elbow than the wrist itself. "When it
was hurting me, there were days I felt I'd never be able to swing a bat."
Youkilis put to rest most concerns about his wrist with his home run during
Game 1 of the ALDS.
