[USML Announce] FAAB Fun

So when we bid in the future we'd just not know if our bids actually worked? That's kind of random.

I don't like that precedent very much.

It's a shame we can't get clarity from CBS on how the system is actually intended to operate. I understand the notion that we can't bid on players not presented by the system even if we all suspect those players should be available. To say that players are presented on the menu of available FAs but that the system is intended to ignore bids for them seems counterintuitive to me.

Andy,

Griffey was my 3rd bid, so if we try to guess as to what the system
would have done we're still left with the issue of how to set
salaries, like, for example, Nady If we let the system work, as is,
then we would ignore my bids for Bay and Griffey and Jim's bid for Bay
and voil? you have an easy and obvious answer and no question about
the interjection of subjectivity into the process.
