[USML Announce] Rule Question

I have a slightly different take, Brad. In my view, the player becomes
property of the other team at noon Sunday. For administrative reasons,
we run the FAAB auction over night so that players can be moved Sunday
morning by the acquiring owner, rather than the commissioner, but I
don't think we have ever allowed those players to be traded in the
intervening 12 hours. We used to do this via email (e.g. "if I acquire
X, move him to active, reserve Dunn"), but I do not recall league
sentiment to change the concept of a player joining a team effective as
of the new reporting period when we stopped doing this manually.

While we could certainly revisit this, I think what I say above is
consistent with past practice.

This has to involve Colby Rasmus, but nevertheless here's my take: the
player acquired via faab becomes a team's property at 12:01 a.m.
Sunday--so why can't he be traded in a deal that takes effect the
following Sunday? I say this without having read the constitution, so if
that states otherwise I abide its word.

Ok Brad, assume it is your team and my team and the player involved is
one that you covet.

Depends on (i) who the player is and (ii) what teams are tryng
to do a deal.

Please provide the information and I will furnish a legal
opinion.

	Thank you.

Can a player acquired in FAAB bidding this weekend also be
traded this reporting period?

Since this is the last trading period before the contiguous
trading requirement kicks in I'd like to make sure we have a consistent
understanding of this issue. I don't recall how we have addressed this
one in the past.

	Thanks,
