The bid on Wada was looking pretty stupid long ago. And I could have left some other idiot with him at $8--which still would have been too much (even without the injury).

Subject: [USML Announce] Wada Shame

This just in:
BALTIMORE -- Orioles left-hander Tsuyoshi Wada will fly to Los Angeles
n Sunday for a second opinion on his ailing left elbow and says
igament reconstruction is likely if surgery is recommended.
"If it's going to be surgery, it's probably going to be Tommy John,"
ada said Thursday through interpreter Seob Yoon.
The Japanese pitcher was previously diagnosed with ligament damage
fter a magnetic resonance angiogram. But the 31-year-old wants to
onsult with orthopedist Dr. Lewis Yocum before returning to Baltimore
o consider his options with Orioles officials.
Wada, who signed an $8.15 million, two-year contract in December,
xperienced discomfort in his throwing elbow during spring training and
as placed on the disabled list before the season.
I'll leave the Winners/Losers thing to Brad Lee, but I think we all
now that Mr. Kerber's $9 bid is looking a little unfortunate right
bout now. Hell, I'm guessing Mr. K was feeling bad about that bid the
oment it left is mouth. The real question though is who was doing
od's work by bidding him up. After what he did to me in the draft, I
an only thank you.
That is all.
Jeff
