Hey, I did say at least 50/50.  Health, suspension and retirement are all risks, but it's a good gamble for Andy, and he also got two interesting pitchers. I have a harder time seeing it from your side, but I haven't actually done any real analysis of whether you have a chance, so maybe it's not as crazy as it seems

Yes, Kerbs, I’m going for 4th place. Glad you noticed I’m setting my sights so high. Meanwhile, anyone who thinks a $3 flyer on ARod is such a risk does not realize that Kevin Youkilis went for $16 this year with multiple teams bidding. Please, the guy is going to play regardless of any clinic investigations unless there is a smoking gun….like in the Ryan Braun case….er, uh, oh yeah…maybe not the best example.

Looks like Shabes is taking a serious run at 4th, and A-Rod has at least a 50/50 shot to play in the majors at some time in 2014.
