[USML Announce] Roster Integrity

Like Shabes, I'll go with whatever the league decides, and there will be no whining or hard feelings on my part. I threw down my challenge flag, and I'll move forward with whatever ruling I get from the booth.

I agree with Andy that if the deal was done, but couldn't get processed due to personal/logistical/technical/whatever reasons, that would be a reasonable basis to let it go.

Mark

My two cents - if Doug and Rick tell us they consummated the trade before noon, we should allow it. We've done that many times, as Mark B. notes.

In my role as League Historian, Etiquette Director, and all-around Crank, this is why the "Notice of Hot Wax Seal" message is valuable. Someone could have shot that off from a cell phone right after the trade! :)

Greetings;
    I too will completely respect whatever the consensus may be. Samardzija pitches tonight though, so I hope that I can have a compliant roster either way. Thanks,
  Rick

I will add that when Rick called to complete the trade I was on the west side of the city six blocks from the United Center feeding homeless children and families. We also went to a shelter for mostly families at Kedzie and Madison-- it's devastating to anyone to see what some of these kids are living like with their parents being shuttled around from shelter to shelter.

We bring kids out once a month to deliver and hand out homemade lunches which is a great experience for them to see firsthand the way the other half lives.

I am not exactly sure what to do about this one. We have generally been lenient with respect to the deadline, but usually without much if any objection. I would welcome a proposed solution from those involved/affected/interested by the outcome of this.

I think the correct fix is actually to reverse out the trade completely. It missed the deadline by more than forty minutes. I'm asking the commissioners to reject the trade.

Mark;

   Since our Verlander-Samardzija trade was processed after 12:00, the system took Verlander off my active roster but didn't replace him with Samardzija. Can you please fix it so that Samardzija takes Verlander's spot on my active roster? Thanks,

   Rick
