So, to fix the Nukes/Berliners trade, it is restructured as Kinsler for Andrus and Pompey, Reyes waived. Rather than reversing and re-doing it, Jeff will just waive Reyes, which puts us in the same position as if I had done it.

Since there’s been some confusion on how this issue is going to be resolved I’d like to get official confirmation before the season starts.

I accept a $22 deduction to my FAAB budget as a way to address any potential advantage I may have achieved as a result of my mistake. If anyone has an objection to that being an appropriate way to resolve the issue, please send around an email with an alternative proposal and then we can hold a vote and come to a final decision. Thanks.

League: A word about the draft day issue relating to Elvis Andrus. From speaking to many owners, we all seem to agree that this was an inadvertent incident and easily could have happened to any of us. I will confess that my own draft software let me put Bogaerts at 2B, just like Jeff’s software did, so in his shoes I probably would have made the same decisions. After discussing the issue with Jeff and others, it seems that an appropriate resolution is to require that Andrus and Bogaerts will only qualify at SS for the rest of the year, even if one of them plays 2B. This means that those players will have to be slotted at the position they were drafted (or MI), and not 2B. You should know that, while Jeff accepts this resolution, he actually suggested to me harsher measure to correct this oversight, but none of them seem warranted given what happened. Again, I will be the first to admit this could easily have happened to me.

The draft was a blast, as usual, and I am looking forward to a fun and competitive year. With this out of the way, we can move on to the main event, which is the start of the baseball season!

P.S. Please let me know as soon as you can if you noticed any errors in the rosters. I would like to get our league “submitted” in Onroto soon.
